Tan Jian Ci began his acting career at a young age, making his film debut in “Lost, Indulgence” (2008). In the following years, he balanced his music career with appearances in audiovisual productions, gradually building his presence in the industry. It was in the 2020s, however, that his work as an actor gained wider recognition, particularly through roles that highlight his ability to navigate intense, sensitive, and psychologically complex characters.

His broader breakthrough came with the drama “Under the Skin” (2022), in which he portrayed forensic sketch artist Shen Yi. The role showcased his precision as a performer and established him as a prominent figure in contemporary Chinese television. From that point on, his career entered a new phase of visibility and recognition.

One of the most defining moments of this trajectory was his portrayal of Xiang Liu in the drama “Lost You Forever” (2023).
